megann(my sister) was super excited today when the headband she won(from Emma's giveaway) came.  i snatched up the chance to photograph her(because i am sad to say that last photoshoot we did was here) and took some pictures of her and her headband for her blog. :)

we started off inside for an fairy-tale inspired photo shoot(the book shown in the photos is Calico Bush). since today was cloudy and gray, we moved outside to get better light.

meg was super excited and very energetic during the shoot which made for allot of laughs and some fun photos. check out her post here. have a favorite?

the walk [and some thoughts on change]

 today we went to a park. :) the way to the park was beautiful. well, at least in my opinion it was. the roads reminded me of life. life seems to be going good and you think have got it down.

 then God puts in a curve(or in life's case change). what's around the curve(why is life changing)? you may not know for a little while.

 but just remember that something beautiful could be just beyond the curve. :)

when we got there the kiddos went off to play and i took a walk down another road. this time i was remind of how amazing and great our God is. he created the world just by speaking and he created man out of dirt! isn't He awesome?

sometimes in life we have to look past the imperfections to see the beautiful. change can be hard, it can be hard and often not very fun. but in order to get to the better stuff, God has to change us, mold us to be more like him.

i'm stepping out of my comfort zone

right now i'm sitting up in the loft at the desk, in front of the window, writing the post that has been in process for a long time.

lately, i've really been encouraged to "be myself". i don't want to do what everyone else is doing just cause everyone else is doing it. i want to be different, to be creative, to stop copycatting other bloggers/photographers, to be myself. i don't want peer pressure to be holding me back from doing the things God has called me to do.

and when i think about that, it seems like it will be really hard. i mean really hard. it scares me, like allot. but then i remember that God is always there for me no matter what happens.

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."- Deuteronomy 31:6

God is calling each and everyone of us, as Christians, to spread the gospel.

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." -Matthew 28:19-20

and in order to do that, it means that i will have to be different. and as i said before that scares me. because it might meant that i have to witness without my friends, that i will have to step out of my comfort zone, that i will have to stand out.

but, i will have God. and that, to me, means a whole lot. now, you might be thinking that i'm crazy for being willing to maybe give up friends, comforts and other things for God. but you know what?

so, i'm going to tell people about the wonderful things Christ did for me and you, i'm going to step out of my comfort zone and stand out so i can reach more lost souls for Christ, and i'm going to encourage you to do the same. are you willing to take up the challenge and share Christ with un-believers, even if it means standing out? are you willing to if it means possibly losing some friends? are you willing to even if it means stepping outside of your comfort zone?

The Challenge:

And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.- Mark 16:15

This verse pretty much explains itself. In it, Jesus is telling the disciples to go and proclaim the gospel to all the world. We need to do the same. That is my challenge to you, "to proclaim the gospel to all the world". "How might I reach all the world?" you might say. Through the internet, your blog, e-mail, facebook, there are lots of ways. Start witnessing in your town and use your blog to share the gospel too. Here are some tips:

• Use the resources available to you. E-mail people, post on your blog, there are tons of resources that you have access to. Use them to spread the gospel!
• Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. God is always with you and is there for you all the time.
• Be willing to stand out, possibly lose friends, and step out of your comfort zone. 
• Encourage your friends to do The Challenge. Witness with them or, if you have un-saved friends, to them!

today

today i ate pizza and oreos for lunch.

and stood on a chair to take pictures of them. :)

i went outside and brought a camera.

while i really liked the last design i did, it just didn't fit me. i kept the same layout but redid the header, button, signature, and links(still in process). here is the new button:

the park

 today we went to the park and i naturally brought a camera. which means i took pictures. :) there were lots of ducks.

 and i brought bubbles. :)

 the water was really sparkly and made great bokeh. :)

what have you been doing recently?

here we go again...

you might have noticed that i un-followed several blogs today, again. sorry if i un-followed yours, it was just that i got too busy to read all of them. i went from following 152 blogs to following 82(a total of 70 blogs that i un-followed)! i am really glad that now i will have time to read and comment on the blogs i follow. :)
