while i really liked the last design i did, it just didn't fit me. i kept the same layout but redid the header, button, signature, and links(still in process). here is the new button:

❀ what a day

today was a very busy day. it started at 10:23, when i woke up. i got up, did my laundry, cleaned up my room, got a shower, and grabbed a snack. then i practiced piano.

after i practiced piano we went to my cousin's basketball game. we got home around four and i caught up on reading a few blogs and snapped a few photos. :)

i pulled on my new gloves that are made for using with cameras, phones, ext. then i pulled on my green, fuzzy, snowflake socks and boots. i pulled my coat on then grabbed my mom's camera and headed outside. i captured a few shots before heading back inside. it is so cold! [in case you were wondering, i woke up yesterday to find the world covered in white.]

i decided to do a piano/valentines day photoshoot. most of them turned out like the one above. i did get some good ones though!

i was really happy with how this one turned out. i will have to try it again sometime soon. it got dark before i could finish. here is a picture of my setup:

i finished the night off my redoing my blog design. thoughts?

a new design!

So what do you think of the new design? This time, I didn't do it myself. The lovely Grace from Grace Anna did it for me! She was so easy to work with and the first draft was in my inbox the same day I contacted her!

New Design!

How do you like the new design? Personally I love it! I know I just redid it a little while ago but I was ready for a change. The old design was very professional looking but I wanted something more personal. I downloaded a bunch of fonts, picked a couple of colors, and put it all together! What do you think?

New Computer!

Monday we got a new computer! It is so nice not to be typing from the ipad's tiny keyboard or being rushed to get off my mom's computer because it is someone else's turn or my mom needs to work on stuff. The iMac is a family/school computer but my mom and dad both have their own laptops. I will be limited to some degree on how much I can get on but I will be able to post more and generally be on the computer more then I used to be. So with that news out of the way... How do you like the new design? I wanted something more professional looking but still have a personal blog feeling. :) I love how it turned out! What do you think?

New Design!

I really wanted the new design to be bright and cheerful. I really like the colors yellow and tan together and they fit the bright and cheerful subscription very well! I also made a button to go along.

Spring?

Can it be? Spring already?

And guess what the temperature is? 42°F! Isn't that awesome? I was even able to have my window open for a while. :-) It is fitting weather considering it is Spring Break! That means a whole week off of school and piano! Today my parents made spaghetti sauce from the tomatoes from our garden. They added a bunch of other stuff one of which was onion which makes my eyes water so much I have trouble seeing(Part of the reason I had my window open). Since I have a whole week with really nothing scheduled I am thinking about doing my first ever vlog(A video blog post). What do you think? I think it would be allot of fun. Today I tried out a bunch of blog tutorials and just finished a new background. Do you like it? I like how it turned out and considering how long it took me to complete the tutorials I don't think I will re-do it for a while. Speaking of blog design while I won't be re-doing my design someone else will. I will be getting it re-done by... Beauty Blog Designs! I mentioned Hannah's blog in my blog shout out here. I am super excited and can't wait till she starts working on my design! For now while you are waiting why don't you go over to her blog and check it out. I think you will really like it. Still snowing.

It is still snowing. Last night we had a blizzard! The wind was blowing really hard and it was snowing sideways! Brr. It was really cool out too. Tonight it is supposed to be -20 degree windshield! Anyway I will post some pictures soon.

I follow allot of blogs, 45 to be exact. So I thought I would "shout out" the names of a few of my favorite blogs. They are in no particular order.

Animal Central

Animal Central is a fun blog that I discovered. Izzy tells about her 3 rabbits, Hedgehog, and Chinchilla. She also tells facts about animals! I am really glad I stumbled upon Animal Central!

Becca's Life

Becca is my BFF and we get together frequently. She mostly posts about what is happening in her life and occasionally will post about a giveaway she has entered. 

Hannah does a great job designing blog backgrounds for people! She does charge a small fee($5-10) if you want the whole design. But you can also get a small package for free!


Kendra's blog is really neat! She just moved back to the states from Egypt where she and the rest of her family were missionaries! I really enjoy reading her blog and seeing the pictures she posts.

I have so many other blogs that I would love to post about! But I will save those for another post. :)

I recently learned how to ice-skate! I had been ice-skating before this but only for short periods time and never really learning how to. Well this fall our youth group went ice-skating at a local ice rink. It was there I really learned how to ice-skate. I really, really enjoyed it! Well you can imagine how excited I was when we found out there was an outdoor ice-rink that we could walk to! I bought ice-skates and then took them to the indoor ice-rink and had them sharpened! Here are some pictures of them(I bought them used):
