A Break(Just a small one)

Well, as you know(if you read this post) my cousin who I am going to nickname "J"(for privacy reasons) is coming to live with us for a year while his mom(single) is deployed. J is coming this Monday and we are having family visit(to drop our cousin and her two cousin off at college) from Thursday-Sunday. So, I am going to take a small break. It will only be a week or so. There will be Snapshot Saturday still. See ya!

ps. Please pray for J and his mom it will be a really hard goodbye.

Gift Exchange

I know Christmas is a long way off but what if we had a blogger gift exchange? Like everyone who participated would send a gift to someone and receive a gift from that same person. I think it would be really fun. What do you think?

At the Park

Last night we went a park about twenty-five minutes from our house. Nathan and my dad went fishing while my mom, Megann, and I took a walk on this beautiful(Wisconsin style) boardwalk. The lighting was gorgeous, we went during the golden hour and left while the sun was setting.

 
In Wisconsin we have boardwalks over grass.


The boardwalk ended at this gorgeous river.



   






There was allot of driftwood.






It was a really fun evening.

Vintage Camera

Today I took some pictures of my great grandfather's old camera(it's my grandpa's camera now). I took them on an old bridge about ten minutes from my house.

 
 
 



On the walk back from the bridge I found a yummy treat. Black raspberries!

It's the time for...

 {Sorry, this posted before I was finished}

Allergies

sneezing+ watering eyes+ stuffy nose+ lost voice(not due to allergies, due to me screaming my head off and getting freezing cold last night, explanation coming)= me right now.

Epic Battle II
= rock climbing +  good preaching+ screaming your head off as the fire department sprays you with freezing cold water+ a mud pit+ steal the bacon on a vaseline and soap covered tarp with a watermelon as the "bacon"+ being pelted by water balloons as you run through the mud pit, run over rubber inner tubes, go over a mud hill, jump over a hurdle, and the slide across the same tarp you played steal the bacon on, and run to the finish line+ screaming wildly because your team won= no voice and allot of fun.

School
School is starting Monday. *gasp* This summer flew by so fast. I can't believe it is almost over. Summer never lasts long enough. This year I will be in 8th grade. I am homeschooled(explains the early start date).

Someone New
This year we are adding to our family(No, my mom is not pregnant). My cousin is coming to live with us for the year(His mom is being deployed). For privacy reasons I am not going to disclose his name or age. This is going to be a big adjustment and I would appreciate your prayers.

Snapshot Saturday Winners- Nature

Our judge for this week unexpectedly was not able to judge this week. ;) So my sister and I co-judged this week.

In first place was....

Mary Ann! Both Megann and I totally agreed that this photo should place first. It is beautiful and it fits the theme perfectly.

In second place was...

Jessica from Shutter Speed Pictures! I love the colors, the focus, and the flowers! Meg and I both agreed that this should win second.

In third place was....

Lolipops & Cupcakes! So beautiful! I love how the little girl is reaching down, the edit, and the overall picture!

Which do you like better?

Last night I was playing around on the computer and decided to make up a new header for my blog(just for fun of course). But, the problem is I really like it. And now I can't decide which one to put up!
