--thanksgiving-- part ii

On Thursday night(Thanksgiving) we went shopping. There were some awesome sales! We went to several stores, although I only bought stuff at two of them. Aeropostale and Old Navy. :)

I got this shirt at Aero for around $11! It is normally $26.50.

I got these really comfy slippers at Old Navy for $5! They are normally $14.94.

Now, I don't really need flipflops but I couldn't pass up Old Navy's $1 sale! They are normally $3.00.

We went home at about twelve thirty(am) and then slept in. On Friday afternoon we went shopping again. After Thursday night's purchases I had about $3 left. This is what I got:

Hand Sanitizer and Lotion- Bath and Body Works- $1
Headbands- Dollar Tree- $1
Mascara(my first makeup I have every bought!!)- Dollar Tree- $1

I had so much fun. I love shopping.. end of story.

--thanksgiving-- part i

The holiday started on Wednesday, no school! My aunt and uncle came on Wednesday night, all the way from New Jersey. Family. Food. Shopping. Photos. Those four words pretty much some up my life the past few days. On Wednesday night I realized that I had totally forgotten that I really wanted to take pictures during Thanksgiving. So my wonderful dad drove me to Walmart. :) Let's just say that not having a camera for a while makes for one photo crazy girl... and allot of pictures.

The food was amazing. My mom baked a turkey in the oven and my dad grilled one. Personally, I prefer oven baked. But, everyone had their own opinion.

 There was a little big puppy that was very interested in the holiday decor(We have to watch him carefully around the decorative pumpkins and squash otherwise he will steal them).

 We actually had to set up two tables, there were thirteen of us. There was allot of laughing, fun, food, and just being with family we hadn't seen for a few months was enough to make me happy.

The past few days have been crazy. We went shopping several times(more on that later) and I got some really cool things. :) Right now it is a great feeling just to sit down and relax.

where i'm at...

camera wise... i'm saving up for a new camera! right now i'm leaning towards a canon t3 or t3i. any suggestions? right now i need allot more money, but i have been babysitting allot. :) while i wait for enough money to buy a new camera i'm using my mom's pentax dslr. which needs new batteries.

photo taking.. right now i can't take any photos until i buy some new camera batteries. seeing as both my point and shoot and my mom's dslr are out. i'm planning on going on a photo shoot with rebecca soon. also, i have a person interested in me taking some pictures for them, so i'm hoping that works out! :)

this blog... right now i really am enjoying blogging! i can't wait to get more camera batteries so i can take some pictures. this whole thing of no batteries is really bothering me..

hi! i'm emilie. thirteen years old. christian. Jesus Christ is first in my life. klutz. horrible self picture taker(the photo above was taken my almost sister rebecca). i'm not even close to being perfect. i have two siblings who i don't spend as much time with as i should. i spend way to much time online. so now that you know a little bit about me i'm going to answer Abigail's questions. :)

1} What's the nerdiest/geekiest/weirdest thing about you?
Well, some people might think it is geek like or nerdy that I like and enjoy playing with html. One weird thing about me is that my ankles randomly collapse when I'm walking. That was actually how I sprained my ankle, I was hopping down the stairs on one foot and the foot I was hopping on collapsed and I fell. Bad idea. :)

2} If you could live in a fictional universe from any book, movie, or television show, what would it be?

Narnia would be an awesome place to live. :) 

3} Little or big, practical or frivolous, what is one of your favorite items in your house?

I love my bed. Whenever I'm in my room I'm normally hanging out in or on my bed.

4} Do you like animated movies? If so, what is your favorite?Although I prefer non-animated movies I do like animated. My favorite is Tangled. :) Which I'm going to watch tonight. 

5} What is your favorite household chore?
Probably cleaning my room. :) I know I'm weird, but I enjoy organizing stuff.

6} What's your favorite thing to get at Starbucks (or your favorite coffee shop)?
Well, seeing as I have never bought any coffee at Starbucks, I normally go to the gas station and I like the White Carmel something or other(I can't remember its exact name). Although I do really like to go to the little coffee shop on Main Street. :)

7} What is your favorite pizza topping? 
Pepperoni! Although I do enjoy cheese. 

8} Waffles or pancakes?
Waffles! Although, that is because I get pancakes more. 

9} Do you like to play games? If so, what is your favorite? 
 Yep! Board games, Wii games, Computer games... My favorite would have to be Life with credit cards. 

13} Picasso or Norman Rockwell? 
What?

14} Do you like carpet, tile, or hardwood floors?
I like carpet when I want to get comfy but hardwood floors are pretty.

15} If you could put one thing in a safe under your bed, what would it be?
Only one thing? Hmm.. probably the jewelry that I have from both grandmothers.

16} What's your favorite condiment?
I prefer nothing but on hamburgers I like mustard, pickles, and a little, tiny, bit of ketchup. 

17} Have you ever thrown up on someone (excluding when you were a child)? 
Nope. :) 

18} What was the last thing that made you laugh? 
My friend Rebecca. :)

19} Think fast...what's the first song that pops into your head? 
Lots and lots of Christmas music. :)

So today was our first snow. :) Of course I took some pictures!

And the snow is sticking! :) I am very excited and happy. Have you gotten any snow yet?

just a few random things

On Monday Rebecca and I got to go on a half hour photo shoot. While she got some amazing photos of me(see her post here)... well let's just say most of the pictures I got of her turned out blurry. Well, it was a good learning experience and we decided to go on another as soon as possible. 


Nanowrimo has been going pretty well. My current word count is 7,137 while it should be 11,666 by tonight. I'm not worried though because I will catch soon. 


I have recently switched from doing school in the morning to doing school before I go to bed. It seems to work allot better and I am going to continue it.

Well, right now both my camera and my mom's camera(the one I almost always use) have dead batteries. Neither one has rechargeable so I will have to buy some more. I took the above photo while Rebecca was in her piano lesson(after our mini photo shoot). I am seriously considering doing a three-sixty-five project, kind of relaxed, more as a way to improve my photography. I have a few ideas on that which I will share later.

a day with me.

I have seen some bloggers do it and thought it would be a neat idea so on Tuesday(November 1st) I took one picture an hour(about).

10:00am woke up and started my NaNoWriMo novel.

11:00am snack time!

12:00pm time to do science.

1:00pm more writing.

2:00pm writing.. plus chocolate

3:00pm went to the library and took a picture of the building beside it(they're tearing it down, in case you didn't know)

5:00pm Nathan waiting for supper to be ready.

6:00pm on our way to the library for my Youth Advisory Committee meeting(was there till 7:30pm)

  8:00pm time for school.

9:21pm heading for bed. :)
